According to WebMD, procrastination can also be born of disorganization or forgetfulness. Some procrastinators are perfectionists. They don’t want to do something if they can’t do it perfectly. Even though a desire to not leave things hanging is also a trait of being a perfectionist, these types of people often let tasks pile up because they cannot do them perfectly in the time allotted.
Some suggestions for breaking the procrastination habit:
If you make up an excuse for putting something off, question yourself. Ask yourself “why?”
Break up the task into smaller segments. Not only can you make progress but you can also feel good about completing something.
Get a buddy. his increases your chances of doing the task.
