Often times when I get distracted from the things that I should be doing (i.e. crossing items off my task list) I think of this quote. The way I visualize this quote is “Do the things you NEED to do, so you can do the things you WANT to do.”
For example, I WANT to sit in the sun with a nice refreshing beverage on a beautiful day. I NEED to cross some items off my task list. I visualize this quote and it helps give me the motivation to finish my task and before I know I’m free to enjoy whatever it is I want to do.
